Sanctuary

Inspired by my adolescent years living back at my parents’ house. When I think of that period of my life, it was a safe haven and comfort zone, a place of fond memories where the fire was always lit in the winter and the doors were wide open in the summer months, letting in a gentle breeze that carried throughout the house. Birds were chirping outside, bees buzzing from flower to flower and the distant sound of lawn mowers humming off in the distance. For me, it was a safe space.
