‘Night Memoirs’ is a collection of short solo piano compositions that were written over the course of two evenings at home.

The final entry into the collection, titled ‘Wanderer’, is inspired by one of my favourite paintings by Caspar David Friedrich, named ‘Wanderer above the Sea of Fog’.

The painting depicts a man with a walking stick, who stands prominent and high on an overhanging cliff, gazing out into the foggy abyss below him.
