Nirvana

In Buddhism, “Nirvana” is defined as “a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self. In essence, it’s a place of perfect peace and happiness, like heaven.”

This reflective and peaceful solo piece is my own rendition of what this internal cognitive place could feel like. It represents the inner conflict each one of us faces in the prospect of finding our own sense of peace in a sometimes busy and chaotic world. Some people turn to sport, some to reading and some, like myself, turn to music to find this sense of calm.

Whilst it’s difficult to portray in any sense what our own unique idea of this ‘Nirvana’’ may feel like, I’ve done my best to try and create a melody and composition that best represents my own personal strive for tranquillity.
